Business situation

A corporate client holds bonds approaching maturity. In the coming months, cash will return to the client's account and a reinvestment decision will need to be made — by the client, potentially with the institution's help.

The institution would like to be the partner in that decision: presenting well-timed, well-evidenced options before a competitor does.

Why existing systems struggle

The pieces of this situation are scattered:

  • the maturity schedule lives in portfolio and position systems;
  • the client's objectives and current intent live in CRM and relationship notes;
  • the client's liquidity and funding position lives in transaction and cash systems;
  • current product options and eligibility live in product systems.

Viewed individually, each dataset reveals only part of the situation. An upcoming maturity is just an event — one row in one schedule, easy to miss, easy to react to late.

How connected context changes the picture

When these signals are connected through a dynamic client context, the maturity event is interpreted in its full business context:

  • Who — the specific client and their relationship history;
  • What — the maturing position, its size and its role in the portfolio;
  • Why it matters — the client's objectives, current liquidity situation and recent activity;
  • What to do — product options that fit the client's profile and eligibility.

The same data, connected, answers the commercial question: this client will have a reinvestment decision to make — here is why, and here is what fits them.

Potential business outcome

  • Timely, well-evidenced client engagement ahead of maturity;
  • Reinvestment options presented before competitors act;
  • Retained assets and a stronger advisory position;
  • A repeatable pattern for every maturity event across the client base.
